Lets get juicing

Tuesday, June 16th, 2009

For those of you who were at the class last night, I hope that you were able to take something away from it, I had fun and I hope that you did too.  If I did not say it last night strong enough the main thing that I wanted to get across was that juice feasting will heal you.  Let me say that a different way, healing always and only comes from within, juice feasting will allow your body to heal.

The problem with the website is that it is not for the general public it is for someone who has been working at It for a while and has a good tolerance to juicing so this is my quick start guide to get you going and then we will send you to the juicefeasting.com website to do the rest.

  1.  Start Slow.  Instead of starting with 4 quarts a day and going cold turkey off of the solid foods, start with making yourself 1 quart each morning.  When you are comfortable with having juice for breakfast then move to having your evening meal be juice as well.  When that becomes comfortable set a date for your juice feasting kickoff and start.  Before you start make sure you take time to read through their website and so you will know what to expect, and how to do it.
  2. Start simple.  As far as health goes the greener the better.  The healthiest things to juice are the green leafy veggies like the kale and chards and greens.  The problem is that those are not always the tastiest ones, in fact they are great at bringing on the gag reflex.  Start with the more mild veggies like the cucumbers and the celery, green lettuces are also good.  By starting yummy and eventually adding in the good ones you will let you palate and your system become accustomed to them and will stick with your feast instead of quitting because it was just too yucky.
  3. Fruit.  When I first recommend a juice feast to my patients most of them say how they love juice or how they have a juicer and juice all the time.  The story quickly changes when I tell them that they are not to do fruits.  Fruit juices are great and have tons of health benefits; however they also have tons of sugar, and for our purposes of providing a healing experience for the body they will not do.  Fruit juices are fine in moderation after you have taken the time to do a feast and you have completely healed you body but before then they are just not a good idea.
  4. The exception to the fruit rule.  There are a few fruits that are ok; in fact they are great for making your juice taste much better.  The main one you will be using is granny smith apples.  They really help the veggie juice go down and they require the same enzymes to digest as the veggies so you will definitely learn to love the granny smiths.  Lemons are another exception.  Other things that we like are ginger and garlic, word of caution, a little goes a long way.

That is pretty much it. Get started. Get healthy and then tell your story and turn someone else onto health.

Juicefeasting kick off

Juicefeasting is the most powerful way to take back your health regain the vitality that is missing in your lives and and rid yourself of disease processes no matter the cause. The reason it is so powerful is because of the amount of good things you are taking into your body. When you go on a raw food diet you get many of the same bennifits, but you would have to eat 25lbs of food daily to get the benifits of drinking 1 gallon of veggie juice. For those of you that are interested we will be having a juicefeasting meeting at the clinic on monday the 15th of june at 6:00pm come and bring your family and friends. Come make yourself a suport group so you can make it thru your feast and come and taste some of the yummy juices we will be making. We will also be going over how to juice and what kind of juicers are the best.
If you have never heard of juicefeasting before you can look at the website, I would encourage you to do so. Read some of the testimonials on their website see if any of them sound like you. The website is www.juicefeasting.com
